Finding your issues
Search, filter, sort, and read your issue list so the right work is always in front of you.
The left panel holds every issue assigned to you, across all your teams, in one place. Search, filters, and sorting narrow it down to whatever you're focused on right now.
Switching teams
If you work across more than one team, a row of tabs sits above the list — All, then one tab per team. Selecting a tab narrows both the list and the filter options to that team. Press T to cycle through them without leaving the keyboard.
Completed and canceled issues always sink to the bottom of the list, so what's still open stays at the top.
Searching
Press / to jump straight to the search box. It matches against an issue's title and its identifier (like ENG-2112), so either works. Press Escape to step back out.
Filtering
Open the filter menu with F. You can filter by:
- Status — grouped by team when you're viewing All
- Priority — Urgent, High, Medium, or Low
- Labels
Filters combine, so you can narrow to, say, High priority issues that are In Progress. When you switch teams, any filters that no longer apply drop away on their own. Clear everything at once with X while the menu is open.
Sorting
The same menu sets the order. Choose from:
- Default — newest first
- Priority
- Status
- Due date
- Created
- Last modified
Press R to flip between ascending and descending. Open and completed issues are always kept in their own groups — sorting orders them within those groups rather than mixing them together.
Reading an issue card
Each card is dense on purpose. At a glance you'll see:
- The identifier and title
- Priority and status, with their Linear icons
- The due date — shown in red when it's overdue (unless the issue is already done)
- Labels, as colored dots (hover to see them all)
- A scheduled badge if the issue is on your calendar — click it to jump straight to that block
- Subtask or parent badges when an issue is part of a hierarchy
Long lists stay fast — the panel only renders what's on screen, and a Back to top button appears once you've scrolled down.
Completed issues are summarized
To keep the list focused on active work, Areca shows only your three most recent completed issues and links out to Linear for the rest.
The right-click menu
Right-click any issue card for a quick menu — change its status, priority, labels, or due date, unschedule it or move it to all-day, copy its ID or title, or open it in Linear. It's the fastest way to make a small change without opening anything.
Right-click is remapped
Areca turns off the browser's own right-click menu so its shortcuts feel native. If you ever need the browser menu — to inspect an element, say — hold Shift while right-clicking.
Next
Once you've found the work, the next move is putting it on the calendar. See Scheduling on the calendar.
